Delicate shades are back on the catwalk for another year, but in 2015 there’s a tantalising twist...
It’s time to throw away the rule book...

Get ready to welcome unexpected, not-to-be muted pastels!

It’s time to throw away the rule book and shake off the pretty pastel image to modernise a once childish colour palette. The sugary shade parade packs a real punch teamed with metallics, bright accessories and sharp, linear cuts to keep your style sleek. To create a really powerful look, introduce a neon pop, bold statement necklace or gingham print to add a sharp edge to an otherwise sherberty sweet outfit.

Contrast is key this season. The stunning ‘soft spray’ mini dress from French Connection mixes a selection of clashing pastels, which look amazing teamed with brighter accessories. We love how dramatic the bold blue bag from Ansari looks against such a beautiful dress. Feeling daring? Add a pair of lime green slingbacks from Office.

Want to keep it simple & stylish for a relaxed, day time cool? Just add denim. This season, everyone’s wardrobe staple has reinvented itself in a big way. Whether it’s doubled up, distressed, slouchy or tight, denim makes easy work of bringing out the best in whichever pastel hue you choose.

In spring, the sun is shining but the temperature takes a while to catch up. To pull off this fashion treat and keep warm through to summer, add an oversized block colour jacket

like the baby blue Jacquard Floral coat from Zara

–  we love how the oversized style transitions the femininity of the colour and print. Team this with the matching a-line skirt to shape your silhouette and be bang-ontrend this season.

We hope you enjoy getting your sugar fix this spring, minus all the calories! For more inspiration, check out our Pinterest or Instagram pages.
