Animals at The Cotswold Show, 4 & 5 July

The Cotswold Show would not be complete without animals – falcons, horses, meerkats and even a skunk!
In less than 20 minutes Gary can introduces a rider to any type of pony or horse that may have had no prior handling (or may have been abused, had an accident). In that short space of time, the animal will be confident, settled, calm and ready to start on its learning process

The Rare Breeds Survival Trust joins The Cotswold Show again.

They are very proud of their animals and are always willing to show them off to the public wherever possible. We are very fortunate to have such a diverse and wonderful collection of rare breed farming stock with us.

There is also fun for your dogs too – with shows, have-a-go hurries and even a dog agility course!

For a very special attraction, make sure you take in the equine arena and Gary Witheford, the horse whisperer.

With over 25 years experience, initially in racing then working and studying with the pioneers of new methods of horse training, Natural Horsemanship, in America and Scandinavia, Gary has developed unique insight into the psychology of the horse.

In less than 20 minutes Gary can introduces a rider to any type of pony or horse that may have had no prior handling (or may have been abused, had an accident). In that short space of time, the animal will be confident, settled, calm and ready to start on its learning process.

He will be seen working with his Andalusian stallion (who he rescued from going to the Belgian slaughterhouses), breaking a youngster and demonstrating the work he does with traumatised horses and riders.
