Awards for ŠKODA!
The new ŠKODA Superb was launched in the UK last September, and has already collected a number of high-profile industry awards including Auto Express Family Car of the Year, Scottish Estate Car of the Year and CarBuyer Best Estate Car 2015
The Sunday Times named the Superb Estate as the Best Large Estate car on the market as part of its annual Top 100 Cars, against stiff competition. Judges praised its elegant design, practicality and value for money. Comprising of writers and reviewers from The Sunday Times supplement ‘Driving’ , the 2.0 TDI 150PS SE L Executive was chosen as its pick of the range.
ŠKODA also performed strongly in other categories in the supplement, with top three recommendations for Fabia and Octavia Estate in the Supermini and Mid-size Estate sectors plus a top five finish for Citigo in the City Car sector.
Duncan Movassaghi, Brand Director for ŠKODA UK, said: “We’re delighted that The Sunday Times has recognised the Superb Estate for its incredible all-round ability. It’s a very special car that embodies everything we strive for at ŠKODA – powerful design, unbeatable practicality and great value.”
The Awards didn’t stop as the ŠKODA Fabia, voted overall Car of the Year 2015 in the What Car? Magazine Awards last year, retained its top Small Car title this year. Judges nominated the 1.2-litre 90PS SE model as its pick of the range, with What Car? Editorial Director Jim Holder commenting: “The Fabia is a car that won’t leave those downsizing wanting; it’s well built, spacious, refined and is offered with a wide range of modern features and safety equipment. For the money, no other small car is as capable.” Prices of the 1.2 PSI start at an impressive high value £14,685.00.
