Even more of a ‘party’ atmosphere than usual and all are welcome...
Blenheim Palace International Horse Trials, one of the UK’s leading three star horse trials, was recently voted Living in Oxfordshire’s favourite event.
– something which may come as a surprise to those who are not aware that this fantastic event is not just for those who are mad about horses!
However it is true that visitors will see most of the best event riders in the world and many incredibly talented equine athletes, but there is also a wide range of activities including displays, demonstrations, lectures and lots of shops (over 200) offering a unique and wide range of choice; a cookery theatre and food hall, craft marquee, activities for the children, sports cars and even rugby on the big screens in the bars, a wide range of catering outlets, elite event horse auction, lots of classes for amateur riders and a fun ride – all in the stunning parkland of Blenheim Palace.
This year’s horse trial (17-20 Sept) is also a celebrations of 25 years of Blenheim hosting this auspicious event so there will be even more of a ‘party’ atmosphere than usual and all are welcome.
Accompanied under 12’s get in free, well behaved dogs on leads are welcomed and tickets booked in advance start at just £11 for an adult So for a great day out try something new at Oxfordshire’s favourite event.
You could win a picnic car pass which will enable a car and as many people as you can pack into it (but not a minibus or coach!) access to the event on Sunday 20 September so that they you can watch the CIC 3* 8 & 9 year old horse cross country and enjoy the Amateur BE100 Arena Eventing classes, shops and children activities, attractions and displays.
