"We also maintain our close links with the local community by hosting a Christmas communion service and inviting the local school to sing carols to engage with our clients on what Christmas means to them."

At Freeland house, we celebrate Christmas in a magnificent way – from our elaborate trees and spectacular decorations to our festive entertainment and Christmas fayre.

Our annual Christmas party, hosted by manager Frances Payne, enables clients, families and friends to gather together in beautiful surroundings with music, entertainment, a full festive buffet and your favourite tipple.

At Freeland, we have something for everyone. From Christmas pantomimes, festive singalongs and movie themed afternoons to crafting, bingo and designing personal cards, we are sure you’ll find something to enjoy. All activities are accompanied by homemade mince pies, biscuits, mulled wine and sherry, homemade by our chef.

If you fancy something different, visit the Lavender Café and sample our delicious festive menu of coffees, chocolate, freshly baked mince pies and Christmas cake.

Throughout the year – and particularly at Christmas – our communal rooms can be used for private family gatherings for families and friends.

We understand that traditionally, Christmas is a family celebration and that it can sometimes be a difficult time for those who have lost a loved one. This is why we offer personal one-to-one reminiscing for those who may not wish to join our vibrant festivities. We try to embrace their nostalgic time and are happy to keep them company and talk about what the festive period was like for them and what their family traditions used to be, should they wish to do so.

Our team is also happy to assist anyone who requires help with writing cards or shopping for loved ones.

We also maintain our close links with the local community by hosting a Christmas communion service and inviting the local school to sing carols to engage with our clients on what Christmas means to them.

We have Christmas all wrapped up!
