Clean Sweep for Oxfordshire Pub Owner
The 18 prestigious Awards are widely regarded as the "Oscars" for leading UK pub companies and were presented by comedian David Walliams at a dazzling dinner at The Grosvenor House Hotel in London’s Park Lane.
Hosted by The Publican's Morning Advertiser in association with Sky, Oakman Inns were nominated for and won the following categories:
- Best Community Pub Operator
- Best New Pub/Bar for The Beech House at St Albans, Hertfordshire
- Best Pub Employer (2-50 sites)
These three important awards can be added to the impressive Oakman Inns’ list of awards the company has won since it was founded in 2007.
Already this year Oakman Inns was placed in the top third of The Sunday Times 100 Best Companies to Work For
and was also named by The London Stock Exchange Group as one of Elite companies in their 1000 Companies to Inspire Britain list.
The Judging for The Publican Awards is over three stages and includes unit visits, secret shoppers and mystery guests, as well as in depth interviews by a panel of industry experts including City analysts, journalists, pub guide editors, top industry consultants and industry body chiefs.
Oakman Inns’ Director, Joseph Evans, said: “This is the second year that we have won multiple categories at The Publican Awards and it was great that we could have so many of our young and enthusiastic management team to celebrate with us. It is always a thrill when the company’s hard work is recognised but it is especially so when it’s by one’s peers and industry leaders.”
