Comedy Line-up for Cornbury Festival 2015

Joe Lycett, Katherine Ryan, Aisling Bea and James Acaster heading for the Great Tew Estate in Oxfordshire 10-12 July
Also topping the bill is sharp-tongued Katherine Ryan (Mock the Week, Never Mind the Buzzcocks, The Apprentice: You’re Fired) who focuses on sex, single motherhood and feminism

This summer’s exceptional Cornbury Festival line-up features Birmingham’s own Joe Lycett (Live at the Apollo, Celebrity Juice), who is best known as a regular panellist on E4’s Dirty Digest. Described as the ‘anti-lad of stand-up comedy’, he got his first TV break with Alexander Armstrong in the BBC1 game show Epic Win before featuring on Comedy Central’s Drunk History earlier this year.

Described as the ‘anti-lad of stand-up comedy’, he got his first TV break with Alexander Armstrong in the BBC1 game show Epic Win before featuring on Comedy Central’s Drunk History earlier this year. Also topping the bill is sharp-tongued Katherine Ryan (Mock the Week, Never Mind the Buzzcocks, The Apprentice: You’re Fired) who focuses on sex, single motherhood and feminism in her routines. An Edinburgh regular, Ryan is back on the festival circuit after her Glam Role Model tour which won her ‘Best Club Comic’ at the 2015 Chortle Awards. Festival goers can also look forward to award-winning Irish stand-up comedian, actor, writer and self-confessed ‘solid guest at a dinner party’ Aisling Bea (Holby City, Would I Lie To You, QI) and Chortle’s 2015 ‘Breakthrough Act’ and ‘Best Show’ winner James Acaster (8 Out Of 10 Cats, Josh Widdicombe’s XFM show) who boasts his own Radio 4 series James Acaster’s Findings.

Other acts to look out for are rising star Adam Hess, multi-award winning, Australian stand-up Felicity Ward, sketch comedy group Massive Dad, musical comedian David Elms,

Time Out ‘One to Watch’ Pierre Novellie, comedic dream-team Minor Delays, Oxford University’s own Ivo Graham, breaking acts Kieran Hodgson and Emma Sidi and hosts Fin Taylor, Patrick Turpin, Jack Barry and Elis James. This year’s comedy tent is masterminded by the dynamic, independent production company and promoter Berk’s Nest. Quieter camping options are also available for the same price as general camping tickets.
