“We may be relatively small, but we deliver big results!"
Designing and manufacturing from the Cotswold town of Chipping Norton, Cottonwood Interiors use their 30 years of industry experience to work with their clients who bring their own individual personality and style into the mix to create truly successful and beautiful designs.
Designer Sophie Evans attributes their success to clear communications and positive relationships with her clients.
Sophie explains, “Our first step, before a drawing is produced is to ascertain a clear brief of our client's project expectations, current arrangements, priorities, schedules and of course their budget, if applicable.Gaining this knowledge helps us to design spaces that work effortlessly. It is the key to providing functional solutions for our clients.”
They have enjoyed working in all kinds of properties from listed buildings in rural acres, to modest family homes and business arenas. The type of project varies immensely from grand kitchens, libraries, media wall solutions, studies and bedrooms to simple storage solutions. Every client of course receives the same “bespoke care, consideration and interest, regardless of the project budget.”
It seems that past clients agree. Mr and Mrs Thornton, who had their study and bedroom requirements designed, handmade and installed by Cottonwood said, “We are thrilled with our beautiful study units and bedroom furniture – the design and quality of the workmanship is perfection. Cottonwood Interiors ‘work ethos’ is exceptional, friendly and supportive.”
The big question is…does the thought of an 'interior designer' excite you, or is it one that you find entirely daunting? Sophie from Cottonwood believes that this ‘fever’ is a result of 1990’s TV rather than real life. “The role of a designer is to use their knowledge, experience and of course flair to act in synergy with the clients taste. Our role is not to put our stamp on someone’s home by pressuring decisions regardless of taste, NO, our job is to listen, to interpret, to provide drawings, options and ultimately solutions.” And…“Finally, with approval of the project, our job is to follow it then every step of the way. We carefully make sure that your plans and instructions are put into action perfectly.”
It became obvious after speaking to Sophie that Cottonwood’s small team of professionals, including skilled craftsman, in their own manufacturing site based in Chipping Norton, enables them to keep a tight leash on the process. She told us, “We may be relatively small, but we deliver big results!Flexibility is the key to success.”
Cottonwood’s flexibility enables them to work with beautiful solid timbers or the latest combination materials. They also have multiple style options, the furniture can be hand painted, polished, wrapped in over a hundred different choices of vinyl’s, high gloss finishes and extensive colour choices are also available. They can transform any room in your home…including those under-utilised or seemingly impossible spaces.
