Dotty Dog Art

Every one of Kathy Webster’s pet portraits are unique and designed to evoke a special memory to make you smile

"My biggest business ethos is that I care for each and every customer"

I’m Kathy, the artist behind Dotty Dog Art. I love all dogs (well all things furry, fluffy, four legged and waggy really) and love nothing more than creating unique commissioned portraits of these beautiful creatures.

My passions are art, animal kindness, running and spending time with my family and dogs in the great outdoors. I also have a tiny obsession with anything VW beetle related too - don't ask!

I live with my lovely husband and our even lovelier children in Faringdon, Oxfordshire. Our household is run by two unruly poodles. Freya our poodle springer cross and Dandy our special rescue miniature poodle. They keep me company in the Dotty studio...sometimes sleeping, sometimes noisily play-fighting and sometimes destroying something important while I'm not looking.

I have a background in Graphic Design and my portraits tend to have a graphic edge to them, hence the dots… where I explore infusing the neat precision of a perfect shape within the irregularity of a moving surface. I work in all mediums but my all-time favourite is watercolour.

All commissioned dotty portraits are very special to me and I spend time working to individual specifications to create a dotty portrait that befits each pets individual character. Every portrait is unique and is designed to evoke a special memory to make you smile.

My biggest business ethos is that I care for each and every customer, creating and wrapping every special commission as if it were a gift for a very special friend. I understand and share the huge love that we all have for our furry friends and I put that love in to each and every one of my paintings.

If dog’s aren’t really your thing… you may also find some wildlife art nestled amongst my dog portraits… hares and foxes are real favourites of mine and if I’m really lucky I get to see these on some of my runs along the Ridgeway.
