Have a Terrifically Tortoisey Time
Don’t miss the new Esio Trot display at the Roald Dahl Museum which features costumes and props from the recent BBC One production of Esio Trot, including the dress worn by Dame Judi Dench and the tortoise grabber itself, as well as original documents from the Museum archive.
There’s also tortoisey fun to be had over half-term, from Saturday 14 to Sunday 22 February, including Tortoise Keyrings on Monday 16 February and Esio Trot Treasure Pots on Tuesday 17 February. For something more scrumptious, our Food Writer in Residence, Victoria Glass, will be making some Terrifically Tasty Tortoises on Valentine’s Day, or you can join her on Wednesday 18 February to make some Magical Marvellous Medicine – just like George but with much nicer ingredients! Plus don’t miss some very special visits from poet and guitarist James Carter on Monday 16 February and from magical storyteller Sandra Agard on Friday 20 February.
Easter holiday events begin at the Museum from Saturday 28 March and will be packed with Roly-Poly Bird fun, trails and crafts – a great excuse to read The Giraffe and the Pelly and Me or The Twits!
Check the Museum’s What’s On pages on the website for full details including workshop prices and booking details.
