Julie Ann Godson
Julie Ann Godson is an author, speaker and ex-Oxford University historian. She has a particular passion for the history of our county and lives in a converted piggery in rural West Oxfordshire.
What's your favourite memory of Oxford?
Gracious, there are so many. Having to be your best, endless parties, glorious libraries, enchanting architecture, great people. The whole experience is sublime.
If you could live in any historical period, when would you choose?
Are you kidding? Not only is “today” a historical period too, but we have anaesthetics, Apple Macs, online shopping, and good pub food.
Heathcliff or Mellors?
They both seem to me to be selfobsessed grumpy-boots. But I do have a weakness for dark curls, so I suppose it would have to be Heathcliff. And I find male tantrums a bit girly.
