Kitchen Facelift with Dream Doors
More than just the doors...
Last year, thousands of homeowners chose Dream Doors to give their kitchen a makeover, saving thousands of pounds in the process. What's more, since most Dream Doors makeovers are installed in just a couple of days, those homeowners also saved time and avoided all of the stress and upheaval that accompanies a full kitchen refit.
The company's name, however, is a misnomer, as Dream Doors supplies much more than just the doors. Customers can choose as much or as little as they like from an array of appliances, worktops and storage solutions. So when a kitchen is beyond repair or the layout doesn't work, and the only option is to start afresh, Dream Doors can supply and install a brand new kitchen.
Established in the late 1990s, Dream Doors is the UK's only national kitchen facelift retailer.
The company now has 60 franchised showrooms spread throughout the country – including one in Oxfordshire – and tens-of thousands of satisfied customers to its name
As a franchise, each showroom is owned and operated locally but trades under the Dream Doors brand. And it's that unique blend of corporate strength and independent spirit, of big brand reputation and local accountability, that makes the company stand out from every other operator in both the kitchen and kitchen makeover sectors. Elaine Hurley, who owns Dream Doors Oxford with husband, Mike, points out that their business model offers an unrivalled customer experience.
“We provide the best of both worlds,” she says. “There's the attention to detail and personal touch that you get from local business owners who have their own reputation and livelihood at stake. And then there's the added confidence that comes from dealing with a national brand with its own accountability, financial strength and stability.”
The Hurleys expanded their premises on Abingdon's Stert Street 18 months ago. And, as Neff 5* Master Partners, that allows them to display dozens of the German manufacturers top appliances and offer expert advice from fully trained staff. Customers are welcome to visit from Monday through to Saturday, enjoy a freshly brewed coffee and, on occasions, even something stronger!
Elaine says: “As well as showcasing all these appliances and kitchen displays, we host cooking demonstrations and winetasting evenings that always go down well with customers from the local community.”
The couple welcome feedback through the independent consumer monitoring website, Checkatrade.com, getting average score of 9.7 out of 10. A satisfied customer in Wallingford gave the Hurleys top marks recently, writing: “I can't fault them in any way. The job was completed to a very high standard within the scheduled time. Perfect!”
