The Discovery Sport

The new Land Rover Discovery Sport can be yours from prices ranging from £32,395 to over £40,000
Seeks to successfully combine premium luxury car experience with day to day practicality

The new Land Rover Discovery Sport graces these shores on 22nd January 2015 and can be yours from prices ranging from £32,395 to over £40,000.

The Discovery falls between the rugged Land Rover Defender and the up market Range Rover in the model line-up and as such is likely to be one of its best sellers in the range.

The highly successful cutting edge Evoque proved a real winner for Land Rover, turning around the Company’s fortunes and converting many to the brand. Its success was reinforced by the new Range Rover (one of the world’s best cars) and now this new Discovery is intended not only to cement the relationship with loyal enthusiasts, but also convert many new customers to the brand. As such it seeks to successfully combine premium luxury car experience with day to day practicality.

Its enticing exterior lines have been mated to clever packaging with a highly versatile three row seating arrangement that will allow the new car to seat up to seven people. Whilst instrument layout is familiar, all information and entertainment data is housed in a centrally located screen. A new innovation is a hub for a new app set-up that includes vehicle tracking, access to emergency services and an in-car 3G hotspot.

From its UK launch in January, the Discovery Sport will be available with just one engine – the 188bhp 2.2 SD4 diesel and with four-wheel drive only. Buyers can choose between a nine-speed ZF automatic and a 6-speed manual gearbox. Later in 2015 we’ll see a new diesel-engined version (the ED4) and weight saving two wheel drive options will be available, competitively priced under £30,000.
