Paul Potts brings Opera to New Theatre Oxford
Paul Potts is the UK’s original and best-loved Britain’s Got Talent winner
He is set to inspire audiences once again with his mellifluous classical prowess in a major UK tour this winter, which comes to the New Theatre Oxford on 28 October.
Paul’s accolades are numerous – he has already performed more live shows than any other contestant from a talent search programme – while in recognition of Paul’s meteoric rise to fame, his life story has been turned into a film entitled One Chance and stars award-winning comedian James Corden.
Having found global success with his albums, live shows and tours, Paul continues to impress audiences worldwide with his powerful yet emotive operatic performances. Seven years after his celebrated Season One BGT victory, his feet are yet to touch the ground.
Paul said: “I'm delighted to be touring the UK again. I enjoyed last year’s tour so much that I decided to go back out and visit some of the towns and cities that we didn’t get to last time. I can’t wait out to go back out on the road.”
Complementing Paul is special guest Catriona Murray, a classical soprano from Nottingham. Discovered earlier this year by Britain's Got Talent winner Jamie Lambert, Catriona has begun work on compiling a solo album and has a string of concerts lined up for the summer season.
Together, Catriona’s classical soprano and Paul’s rich, impressive talent will charm audiences UK-wide.
Paul Potts comes to New Theatre Oxford on 28 October.
