Plan a Blue Cross Tea Party!
Thousands of abandoned or unwanted, ill or injured, pets turn to us for help every year. Our doors are always open to them, and with your support, they always will be
Organising and hosting a tea party is great fun and couldn’t be easier to do and we have got loads of ideas and resources to help you make your charity tea party a success.
Plan your day, choose a date and find a venue. It could be anywhere from your home or garden, at a school, work place or even the local village hall, community centre or social club.
Are you going to bake your own treat or stock up from the supermarket? Do you have a friend or relative who could help you with some baking? Don’t stop at the tea, cake and natter! Think of other things you could do at your party. Why not include a small raffle or use our competition form to make a little extra.
Blue Cross is one of the nation’s oldest and best loved pet charities so helping to raise awareness and funds through your “Paws for Tea” party helps spread the love.
However big or small your charity Tea Party is every penny raised will be giving pets a happy, healthy future.
Did you know that more than 100,000 stray dogs are picked up by local authorities each year and thousands are put to sleep because no homes can be found for them?
Last year Blue Cross took in more than 8,000 homeless pets and looked after 30,000 poorly animals. But more pets are being needlessly killed, badly kept and abandoned. We’ve seen 40 per cent more stray and abandoned animals compared to two years ago. We need your support now so that we can help as many pets in need as possible.
How you can help
Sick, injured and homeless pets have relied on us since 1897. Thousands of abandoned or unwanted, ill or injured, pets turn to us for help every year. Our doors are always open to them, and with your support, they always will be.
You can make a one off donation, where you can with a number of different credit/debit cards and PayPal or set up a monthly direct debit donation. Your money will go towards helping sick and unwanted animals.
Leaving a legacy
Leaving us a gift in your Will means we can give more pets a healthy life in a happy home. Legacies account for more than half our income and provide vital funds to help us care for sick, injured and homeless pets.
We rely on our fantastic team of dedicated volunteers and we’d love for you to join us. We have lots of different volunteer roles around the country if you have any time to spare.
Attend an event
Our centres hold fundraising events, such as open days, shows and sponsored dog walks, throughout the year. Attending your local event will help raise valuable funds.
Organise your own event, run a race for us or sign up for one of our fantastic overseas challenges. All the money you raise will go towards helping our animals.
Our fundraising campaigns
We raise money for our work using a variety of methods. One of the ways we do this is to talk to people in person on the door step, and at private sites such as supermarkets.
Who would have thought shopping could generate cash! By visiting one of our charity shops or buying from our online shop you can help raise money for needy animals.
You can also take part in various shopping schemes and support the Blue Cross.
Work for us
Join our team of friendly and hardworking people dedicated to improving animal welfare. Working with animals can be hard, upsetting and physically exhausting but it’s also extremely rewarding.
Corporate sponsorships and other partners
Your company can support Blue Cross in lots of ways and we strive to develop partnerships that are mutually beneficial.
