Rhodes House, home of the internationally renowned Rhodes Scholarships, was designed by Sir Herbert Baker as a memorial to the founder. Completed in 1928, the House has many features resembling the Cape Dutch style of Groote Schuur, Cecil Rhodes’ home in Africa, which is now the residence of the President of South Africa.
Rhodes House has seen world leaders, Nobel prize-winners and men and women at the forefront of research and global businesses through its doors over the last 100 years.
Now available for exclusive board meetings, dinners and other corporate functions, the Events Team look forward to welcoming guests to this exclusive city-centre jewel of a venue which combines history, inspiration and warmth within a university context.
With a variety of rooms available the House offers an environment conducive to focused meetings or client entertainment.
From the intimacy of the panelled Beit Room to the formality of the baronial Milner Hall,
Rhodes House provides the unique function space to make every corporate event special. The award-winning Rhodes House Gardens provide the perfect setting for a drinks reception or Garden Party.
WiFi is available throughout the building and the latest technology can easily be set up to accommodate any AV requirements from video conferencing to translation booths.
