Royal Berkshire Shooting School
The Royal Berkshire Shooting School, having recently become a member of the Clay Pigeon Shooting Association (CPSA), is set to host its first ever registered competition over three days, from Monday 4 to Wednesday 6 August. The ‘Challenge Trophy’ will see competitors presented with 100 sporting targets over 12 stands plus a 25-bird Compak for the Pool Shoot.
Entry can only be made by pre-booking and competitors will shoot in squads of six, ensuring a relaxed and enjoyable experience, with minimal queuing. There is the added benefit of being able to enjoy breakfast and lunch, freshly prepared by Mike Robinson’s team from the Pot Kiln Anywhere.
The prize fund includes £400 for High Gun sponsored by The Royal Berkshire Gun Room,
with cash prizes to 3rd place in all categories, with additional prizes from Gamebore Cartridges and the Really Wild Clothing Company. In its continued effort to encourage youngsters, Colt and Junior entries will be able to shoot for half price on Monday 4 August.
Richard Worthington, the CPSA’s National Development Manager, commented: “This is a fantastic opportunity to shoot the first ever CPSA-registered shoot at this prestigious venue and we are delighted to be involved in what will no doubt be a successful event.”
There will be a dress code in place on all three days of the competition: and competitors are kindly asked to respect this. If you would like to enter, the entry fee is £40 or £35 for birds only.
