Lendon Scantlebury

Stone at The Mole Inn

As part of Artweeks 2016, Lendon Scantlebury is curating a fascinating exhibition of carvings from carefully selected artists in the intimate setting of the garden at The Mole Inn, Toot Baldon
Oxfordshire Artweeks

"Lendon decided on a mainly stone exhibition and has brought together seven artists to show their work."

Jilly Heather from The Mole Inn, visited Lendon Scantlebury’s exhibition at Turn End Garden, Haddenham, last year and was so taken with the presentation and extent of the artworks on display she contacted Lendon to arrange an event at The Mole Inn.

Lendon decided on a mainly stone exhibition and has brought together seven artists to show their work. The pieces will be displayed in the garden and they are all for sale. Some of the artists will also take commissions.

This year sees the inaugural “People’s Choice” where visitors to each exhibitions can vote for their favourite piece and the artist will receive a prize from Lendon.

Lendon is an experienced event organizer, art curator and the driving force behind the very successful sculpture exhibitions in the Bothy Vineyard, Frilford in 2013 and 2015 and at Ardington in 2014. He is also a successful sculptor in his own right and exhibits his work extensively.
