Oakleigh Fairs, one of the UK’s premier providers of outside shows are delighted to be bringing a Family Country Fair to the grounds of the beautiful Waddesdon Estate.
Charlie Owen, MD of Oakleigh, says: “We have been looking for the right venue in this part of the Home Counties to launch a new show of this type for quite some time, and the Waddesdon Estate ticks all the boxes in terms of access and profile and we are really looking forward to bringing the show there for the first time in August – and we are sure, for many years to come – so put the date in your diaries!”
There’s something for everyone. There’s the Sheep Show, Olivant’s Spanish Horse Display, Swords of Chivalry Medieval reenactment group, terrier racing, birds of prey flying displays, the goat show, traditional Punch & Judy and children’s petting pens. Also, on Sunday at this event, Oakleigh Fairs is proud to host the Companion Dog Show – so bring along a canine friend and have a go! All proceeds from entries will go to Marie Curie Cancer Care.
As well as the Aylesbury Concert Band, besom broom making and spinning and weaving, there will be the Events Show Kitchen hosted by Masterchef Ondine Hartgroves with cookery demonstrations throughout the weekend. You can sample and buy in the Arts, Crafts and Gifts marquees as well as from the Lifestyle and Food Stalls. There is also a licensed bar featuring Real Ales and Scrumpy.
Well behaved dogs on a lead are welcome within the show area only. Other than assistance dogs, Waddesdon does not permit dogs within the main Gardens or House.
