The Woburn Abbey Garden Show

Bedforshire, 27 & 28 June 2015, come and learn new gardening skills from tv, radio presenters and academic lecturers
“The Gardeners Garden Show” – Duchess of Bedford

Woburn Abbey’s team of gardeners are preparing for the 6th Woburn Abbey Garden Show on 27 and 28 June.

Two new features will be opened by the Duchess of Bedford - including the Grotto Garden, which transforms the visitor entrance. Originating from the 1661 plans, it forms a crucial part of The Duchess of Bedford’s restoration projects and will be opened at 3:00pm on Saturday 27 June.

The Wyatville seat, erected in 1811, by Jeffry Wyatt (later Sir Jeffry Wyatville) is said to be some of his first work and was commissioned for 6th Duke of Bedford. It has a fascinating plaque ‘HB 1145’ which refers to the founder of Woburn Abbey, Hugh de Bolebec and will be opened at 3:00pm on Sunday 28 June.

Come along and learn new gardening skills when television, radio presenters and academic lecturers Pippa Greenwood (Saturday), Frances Tophill (Sunday), Martin Fish and Alistair Fraser (Both days) share their knowledge.

Visit over 90 exhibitors including specialist nurseries, garden care and outdoor living exhibitors who will be selling rare and unusual plants and garden and lifestyle items.
