The islands lived up to their reputation of being one of the most beautiful places on earth
Cheltenham College has been educating young people aged 13 to 18 since 1841. It is one of the foremost co-educational public boarding schools in the country, with an enviable reputation for academic achievement, breadth of extra-curricular opportunities and a strong, vibrant community. The school is situated in 72 acres of beautiful grounds in the heart of the Cotswolds. The Prep School (3–13) occupies a stunning 15-acre woodland setting adjacent to the Senior School.
The curriculum is broad and purposeful, with lessons complemented by extensive school trips and over 30 clubs and societies. The highlight of the year was a trip to Ecuador and the Galapagos Islands in October 2014.
31 students and 4 staff spent 10 days exploring Quito and six of the islands in the Galapagos Archipelago. The islands lived up to their reputation of being one of the most beautiful places on earth; pupils got to see many of the islands’ famous fauna and were able to view marine iguanas, giant tortoises and blue-footed boobies at close quarters.
Cheltenham College continues to be dedicated to providing pupils with a rich, stimulating and relevant experience.
