Wallingford Bunkfest

Wallingford BunkFest

On the banks of the Thames in South Oxfordshire, Wallingford BunkFest is a free-access community festival
Wallingford Bunkfest Loddon Beer

Head down to the beer tent for a great selection of up to 30 real ales. Whether you are a seasoned real ale drinker, or have never tried “proper” beer before, you should be able to find a beer style that suits you. We have a range of styles from Stouts to Golden ales

In 2015, Wallingford BunkFest celebrates its 14th year of life

Starting from a small marquee in a pub car park Bunkfest now fills the KineCroft and provides entertainment throughout Wallingford, on the River Thames and on the Bunk Railway line.

Most events are free – you only need to purchase tickets for the boat trips, train trips, workshops and also for camping.

The music on Friday includes local band, The Unusual Suspects. They specialize in turbo charging much loved songs from the past half a century in their own exhilarating style. The band’s popular set unites Ian’s vocals, Phil’s thunder, James’ punchy bass and Baz’s classic rock tones to generate a set full of covers in their purest form, with standout tracks from four decades; paying homage to some of the greatest rock songs of all time, and according to their fans doing them great justice. Visit the website for more bands playing during the weekend!

Dancers and dance styles from all over the world gather in Wallingford for the BunkFest! Border Morris, Northwest Morris, Cotswold Morris, Irish Dance, Step Clog, Appalachian, Rapper Dance, Belly Dance and Capoeira performers will be strutting their stuff all over the town. You can’t miss the fabulous spectacles of our dance festival!

At BunkFest our selection of beers is as varied as the artists! Situated on the Kinecroft, head down to the beer tent for a great selection of up to 30 real ales, with an emphasis on local independent brewers. Whether you are a seasoned real ale drinker, or have never tried “proper” beer before, you should be able to find a beer style that suits you. We have a range of styles from Stouts to Golden ales.

BunkFest is a volunteer run, not-for-profit organisation working for the benefit of the local community. Please donate generously now and during the festival - BunkFest relies on your kind financial support. Thank you.

Takes place 4-6 September
