Weald of Kent Craft & Design Show
Returning to the glorious grounds of Penshurst Place & Gardens, near Tonbridge in Kent, the Weald of Kent Craft & Design Show takes place 2-4 May.
With three days of activities for all the family to enjoy, the show also features the work of some of Britain’s leading craftspeople to the backdrop of live music and the beautiful Kent countryside and with workshops, a family friendly atmosphere and delicious food.
Over 200 British makers will assemble to display some of the best in craft, art and design. Visitors can buy from a broad selection of inspirational work of the highest quality with plenty to choose from for home or garden.
The makers are carefully chosen to ensure a varied array of glassware, jewellery, clothing, painting, garden ornaments, plants and furniture, beauty products and much more available to suit all tastes.
Accompanying this, the Graduate Marquee offers visitors the opportunity to view an exhibition of cutting edge design and the chance to buy a ‘one-off’ for the home with truly stunning and innovative pieces at exclusive prices.
Pieces for the garden as well as a 7,000 variety strong nursery of plants with pots, containers and garden ornaments from How Green Nursery will please keen horticulturalists while Chilstone will be sharing a wealth of expertise including tips picked up from the Chelsea Flower Show. Both will be combining their inspired artistry to create a gorgeous sculpture garden with materials ranging from Chilstone, oak, granite, brass and bronze resin.
The Café Eatons Bar will be open throughout each of the three days to offer visitors the chance to sit down, relax and enjoy restaurant quality food and drink in a wonderful setting. Delicious dishes and sumptuous drinks include Italian coffees, hand-made cakes, afternoon teas and a full bar complete with Champagne, Prosecco, Pimm’s, wines and beers as well as a selection of delectable savoury foods.
To satisfy foodies, Good Food Live will run alongside the craft and design stalls giving gourmet lovers the chance to buy luxury items from specialist food and drink producers.
As well as workshops for all the family, parents will find plenty to keep their little ones amused too. The Yarnsmith StoryTeller is stopping off at the craft and design show to spin tales of Saxons, Medieval characters and the Tudors with stories of wise fools and the foolish wise to entertain everyone.
